Job Title – Lead – Data Engineering

The Purpose of This Role

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer with expertise in designing and developing cloud data integration and ingestion solutions, components, and patterns to build and migrate on-premises applications on AWS and Snowflake Cloud Datawarehouse for Internal And External Reporting platforms

The Value You Deliver

  • Collaborating with peer Architects, Product, DevOps and Application Engineering teams to publish cloud solutions, reusable components and microservice patterns that would help in migration of on-prem applications to cloud or to build new applications on cloud platforms like AWS
  • Following Fidelity best practices/methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design/development process and providing innovative solutions at a very fast/rapid pace
  • Driving technical vision and initiative with US partners, architects, and prototyping, getting buy-in from cross-geography teams
  • Developing, designing, and building architecture solutions on a platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data.
  • Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer's service experience.
  • Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production
  • Being part of a rotating on-call support team

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

  • Hands on experience on AWS Platform and its components
  • Experience of building Cloud Applications on AWS platform
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) development experience preferably with data warehouse environments
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of Informatica experience with Oracle Database
  • A minimum 2-3 year of experience in Snowflake Cloud WarehouseExperience in Docker Containers, Docker Management platforms like Kubernetes, EKS etc.
  • Experience of any Relational or NoSQL Databases
  • Experience working with DevOps team to build/configure/debug pipelines and automation
  • Good Python and UNIX/LINUX shell programming skills
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • Strong problem solver, able to assimilate information quickly and to holistically analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to work effectively with both partners and project team members
  • Experience and comfort in working on multiple projects simultaneously

The Skills that are Good To Have for this role

  • Hands on – Cloud design solutions and patterns
  • Knowledge of Python programming is plus
  • Knowledge in Informatica, ETL, Snaplogic, Data Lake and Data Warehousing Concepts
  • Build Technologies & CICD (Maven, Jenkins, Concourse – pipeline as code)
  • Infrastructure as a code – Cloud formation
  • Unix and Shell scripting advanced knowledge
  • Experience in Git/Stash/Bit Bucket

The FIT platform, we support is used by 300+ Correspondent banks, 5000+ Investment Advisors, 12 million+ retail customers and 130+ hedge funds and is capable of handling over 1 million trades per day amounting to 300 million shares. The FBT India team is distributed across Chennai and Bangalore.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • 6 to 9 years of IT experience
  • Bachelors in Informatica Systems, Computer Science, or Informatica Technology
  • AWS Certified, Snowflake Certified Associates

Location : Chennai

Shift timings: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST
